Abstract

The assessment of cognitive deficits, such as executive functions, can be critical in neuropsychology because is not easy to catch all the important cues of real-life behavior using the classic paper and pensil tests or even sophisticated laboratory tasks. On the other hand, using virtual simulations of prototypical daily situations, by the means of 3D virtual environments, it is possible to create situations which could help the therapeutic assessment, within the safe context of the therapist's laboratory. In this study, we described how we assessing executive functions using a Virtual Reality Test. © 2013 ICST.
