Advanced Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems in the agri-food sector are a promise for remarkable improvements in control mechanisms for the food supply chain, both in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. The aim is to ensure the wellness of citizens, a quick and efficient management of food processes and a positive impact in competitiveness of companies brands on both national and international markets.We here report the proposal of an information system able to model the entire food supply chain. Data is loaded in a database containing the organoleptic qualities of milk, fruit and vegetables to guarantee an easy access and insertion of information and allowing the traceability of products.
