The present investigation aims at studying springback in deep drawing of an austenitic manganese steel for different applications, such as the automotive one. In particular, the effect of punch corner radius (15, 20 and 25 mm), die corner radius (15 and 20 mm) and coining on springback was investigated by means of cylindrical cup drawing experiments. Qualitative and quantitative analyses on transversal profiles of the samples obtained by means of a 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine were performed in different regions of the cup: the top, the sidewall and the flange. A Finite Element (FE) analysis was also performed using three different models and the numerical results were compared with the experimental ones. The results were discussed and analysed in detail.
