This paper presents the analysis of first implementation results of the OMEGA Inter-MAC layer. It realizes a converged home gigabit access network at data link layer, using simultaneously heterogeneous MAC technologies. The Inter-MAC architectural solution is shown and its technological implementation is described in detail. Follow some tests and a comparative analysis is done between the Inter-MAC case and the single-technology case.
