The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the many dochmiac forms occurring in Aristophanes’ Thesmophoriazusae, by analysing the ancient colometry in which the comedy is transmitted by cod. Ravennas 429. A comparison between these forms and those provided by Gentili and Lomiento 2003, and by other important studies on this subject, is consistently made in order to prove also the existence of some possible new forms, or variants of those already identified. Consequently, new conclusions about the number and the function of dochmiacs in Thesmophoriazusae are drawn as compared to Parker’s ones.
