Starting from the song Amors que vos ai forfag (BdT 132,3), so far ascribed to the troubadour Elias de Barjols, but attributed to Gaucelm Faidit in a later grammatical and rhetorical work by Berenguer de Noya, this work aims to show how the investigation of a medieval author’s chronotope can help settling an attributive problem in the troubadour lyric poetry. Focusing on the analysis of the works of Gaucelm Faidit, we are able to understand how the author creates his love fiction and manages the chronotopic relations in his poems. comparing the results of such analysis with the content of Amors que vos ai forfag, we conclude that the song is no doubt a work by Gaucelm. The reasons of such attribution are not only textual, but relate to the style, the chronology, the use of senhals and their identification, the consistent role played by this song in Gaucelm’s love fiction. The analysis touches on several topics about Gaucelm such as the chronology of his works, his protectors, his music, his place in the cultural context of his age and his remarkable debate-stimulating and reasoning art.

Abstract
The analysis touches on several topics about Gaucelm such as the chronology of his works, his protectors, his music, his place in the cultural context of his age and his remarkable debate-stimulating and reasoning art.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
