Employability should represent a target for consultants and job agencies with measurable and verifiable outcomes. Outplacement has to meet actual needs of workers and markets, taking into account a rigorous methodology. In order to verify the effect of different training techniques (individual outplacement, classic group activities and psychodramatic group activities) in terms of learning outcomes and employability, an exploratory study was carried out to verify the effect of different training techniques (individual outplacement, classic group activities and psychodramatic group activities) in terms of learning outcomes and employability. 124 unemployed Italian people took part in the study, mostly aged between 40 and 50 years, with a medium-high level of education. Results showed that for candidates who took part in group outplacement activities, the re-placement was easier than expected, they participated more actively and had higher level of satisfaction, compared to those who only participated in the individual paths.
