In this contribution we aim to identify two ethical levels involved in on-demand streaming platform practices. Starting from a survey of the epistemological fields of reference (Media & Platform Studies), through the application of the ethnosemiotic method, we identify the formal pillars on which to conduct an analysis of the practices and subjectivities involved in the fruition of on-demand content. Once delineated, with the support of the landscape paradigm proposed by François Jullien, we inquire into the highly ethical consequences of the fruition of a product (first level – internal ethics) and of the infrastructural sustainability that allows the entire functioning (second level – external ethics).

Abstract
In this contribution we aim to identify two ethical levels involved in on-demand streaming platform practices. Starting from a survey of the epistemological fields of reference (Media & Platform Studies), through the application of the ethnosemiotic method, we identify the formal pillars on which to conduct an analysis of the practices and subjectivities involved in the fruition of on-demand content. Once delineated, with the support of the landscape paradigm proposed by François Jullien, we inquire into the highly ethical consequences of the fruition of a product (first level – internal ethics) and of the infrastructural sustainability that allows the entire functioning (second level – external ethics).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
