With reference to the Prin project ‘Cultural heritage and educating communities. Training competences and professionalism for a new urban welfare’, the authors propose a heuristic approach to urban regeneration as a set of educational, participatory and co-design processes that redesign educational and pedagogical professions in the community, in relation to support vulnerable groups, for promoting cultural heritage and art, and collaborate with neighbourhood volunteer organisations. Characterizing dimension of the survey is its adoption of a pluralistic methodological approach: participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, qualitative and quantitative questionnaires, and narrative maps to capture the complexity of the urban contexts and associative practices involved, as well as the educational and social dynamics. The results highlight how social pedagogy, supported by rigorous and participatory research tools, can help transform urban fragility into opportunities for collective learning, outlining new professional skills and models of inclusive urban welfare.

Abstract
The results highlight how social pedagogy, supported by rigorous and participatory research tools, can help transform urban fragility into opportunities for collective learning, outlining new professional skills and models of inclusive urban welfare.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
