The fifth digital revolution is transforming educational practices. This paper, maintaining its focus on childhood, explores the consequences that this revolution is currently producing, as well as those it is likely to generate in the future. After outlining the main components of the fifth revolution, the discussion will examine its pedagogical implications, with particular attention to learning processes and the role of the educator. The aim is to highlight, even within the so-called post-media context, the importance of the educational relationship and interculturality as fundamental elements of pedagogy. On the one hand, in order to preserve their unique and irreplaceable ethical and humanistic function; and on the other, to guide the use of technology towards inclusive purposes.

Abstract
The fifth digital revolution is transforming educational practices. This paper, maintaining its focus on childhood, explores the consequences that this revolution is currently producing, as well as those it is likely to generate in the future. After outlining the main components of the fifth revolution, the discussion will examine its pedagogical implications, with particular attention to learning processes and the role of the educator. The aim is to highlight, even within the so-called post-media context, the importance of the educational relationship and interculturality as fundamental elements of pedagogy. On the one hand, in order to preserve their unique and irreplaceable ethical and humanistic function; and on the other, to guide the use of technology towards inclusive purposes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
