This paper shows the first results of cataloguing and analysis of the project drawings presented at the 4th International Triennial Exposition held in Monza (1930). The projects reply to the announcement of competition between Italian architects that requested the proposal of a “modern” villa. In this period the language of representation takes a precise shape that will come along with the architects through all the Century. These drawings show a clear research for a communication of architecture in a “seductive” and modern way, free from conventional codes. Moreover the relationship between colour and design demonstrates the sensibilization on the role of colour in the perceptual conformation of space and it’s relevant function of the hole design.

Abstract
This paper shows the first results of cataloguing and analysis of the project drawings presented at the 4th International Triennial Exposition held in Monza (1930). The projects reply to the announcement of competition between Italian architects that requested the proposal of a “modern” villa. In this period the language of representation takes a precise shape that will come along with the architects through all the Century. These drawings show a clear research for a communication of architecture in a “seductive” and modern way, free from conventional codes. Moreover the relationship between colour and design demonstrates the sensibilization on the role of colour in the perceptual conformation of space and it’s relevant function of the hole design.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
