The thesis that I will discuss in this essay can be summarized as follows: the most significant feature of intermediality is related to the possibility of a regeneration of the relationship between image and reality. I will analyze this thesis by referring to the phenomenological aesthetics. My hypothesis is that there is an essential relationship between the processes of intuitive experience objectivation described by Husserl and the strategies of image elaboration based on intermediality. This elaboration precisely concern those processes of reality constitution that are more original from the phenomenological point of view; that is why intermediality can produce effects of image authentication.
