The aim of the paper is to develop the question of management of cultural diversity in the multiethnic school. Such a theme is analyzed through a case study, carried out on a sample of over 1300 Italian and immigrant students attending first degree secondary schools in Abruzzo, a region in the centre of Italy. The theoric background is: intercultural model (7,15); theorical and methodological socio-constructionist approach of identity and belonging (2,20); European and Italian orientations on interculture (6,8,17). I have investigated two fundamental dimensions of the scholastic experience of new generations of autochthones and immigrants: scholastic success; formation processes of belonging and/or multiple belonging.

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to develop the question of management of cultural diversity in the multiethnic school. Such a theme is analyzed through a case study, carried out on a sample of over 1300 Italian and immigrant students attending first degree secondary schools in Abruzzo, a region in the centre of Italy. The theoric background is: intercultural model (7,15); theorical and methodological socio-constructionist approach of identity and belonging (2,20); European and Italian orientations on interculture (6,8,17).
